Great pub with weekly bands and events like the fortnightly bingo. Front patio which is a well maintained and bit of sun trap in the day. Fenced garden at the rear with a kids play area suitable for toddlers around a train and a slide and climbing frame. Live sport and pool table and wonderful staff.

Think it's disgusting that when you complain about the noise level(which was extra loud) on a certain table next to you while eating... that staff(young girl) .... Say that you basically have to put up with it as its a Saturday night and it's busy..... No i dont appreciate dinning and hearing the group of people next to me shouting/talking extremely loud and thinking its funny when i asked them to tone it down a bit when trying to hear my partner speak to me....wouldn't recommend to anyone going there if you want to refrain you're ears from ringing
Disrespectful people

There is a big food menu with lots of options, and the food was nice that we were served, all presented nicely and hot. We had booked a table for an occasion and were really crammed in tight to the wall so really hard to get out of a seat and needing to kneel over chairs and ask everyone to move to get up. Also no table service for drinks means that a few people were always up and down to need to queue at the bar and then no coffees available was a shame. Nice friendly staff and seems very popular as it was a busy afternoon. There is a small outdoor play area for kids. Would come again.

The food was enjoyable; however, the overall experience was significantly impacted by the level of service provided. Upon arrival, we were informed by the lady behind the bar that the establishment was operating on a bookings-only basis, despite the venue appearing largely empty. This was inconsistent with the initial instruction we received to take menus and seat ourselves.
After placing our order, we waited approximately 45 minutes for our food without any explanation or update. When we followed up, the same justification regarding bookings-only service was repeated, which did not align with the situation.
Additionally, the manner in which we were spoken to by the lady behind the bar came across as unnecessarily rude and unwelcoming, further detracting from what could have been a positive dining experience.
That said, the waitress who brought our food was excellent—friendly, attentive, and professional—which we greatly appreciated.
Overall, while the food itself was of a good standard, the service fell well below expectations.
